HEALTHY SNACK IDEAS FOR MOVIE NIGHT | LIFESTYLE ♡

It is still Winter and it is the cozy season, which for me it has been pretty sunny here in San Diego, but I still manage to cozy up in bed and watch films! Doesn't everyone love cuddling up on their couch and watch movies with your family or friends? As well, as having a great snack to munch on while watching your favorite films! So, I am going to let you know on some of my favorite healthy snack ideas!

Here I am cozying it up with my Twin sister binge watching films on Netflix!

What you need to have the coziest movie night:

Bedsheets

Duvet covers
Pillows
Laptop or TV
Blankets
Fairy lights
Dining tray

Healthy Snack Ideas/Recipes:

One of my favorite snacks is Apple slices with peanut butter drizzle and to make the tocuh add some dark chocolate chips. I have been following Trialandeater.com and ever since I saw these on their blog I have always eat my apples like this! Super healthy and fun! (for some reason my images were not uploading on here, so I had to look for an image!...Will upload later!)

Apple Nachos with peanut butter and chocolate drizzle. Fruit, protein and chocolate makes this a great healthy snack at any time! Vegan, gluten-free, 5 minute dessert.

Another great healthy snack is flourless peanut butter chocolate cookies! (THANK YOU PINTEREST!)

FLOURLESS PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE COOKIES:

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cups Rolled Oats (gluten-free If Desired)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Old-fashioned Peanut Butter (I Used Skippy Creamy)
  • ⅔ cups Dark Brown Sugar
  •  Large Eggs
  • 1-½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ⅔ cups Chocolate Chips

Preparation Instructions

Preheat oven to 350ºF.
In a small bowl, mix together the oats and baking soda; set aside.
In a large bowl, beat peanut butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla with an electric mixer until smooth, about 3 minutes. Mix in dry ingredients with a wooden spoon, then gently fold in chocolate chips.
Roll cookies into 2-inch dough balls and place onto cookie sheet 2 inches apart, then barely flatten the top of the cookie with your hand. The dough should be pretty sticky so if you find this method annoying, simply use a cookie scoop to drop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet. The cookies may not be as round in shape and perhaps a bit thicker, but that’s okay, they will still be delicious.
Bake cookies for 9-11 minutes and remove when edges barely begin to turn a golden brown. The cookies may look a little underdone, but they will continue to cook once you remove them from the oven. Cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Repeat with remaining cookie dough.
Makes 16-20 cookies.
Notes:
1. You can use less sugar or less chocolate chips to save calories—I have tried using 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips and they turned out great!
2. Feel free to substitute almond butter or another nut butter in replace of peanut butter.
3. These cookies disappear quickly so I recommend doubling the recipe!

P.S. Again I don't know what happened to my photos!

And if you have a movie night with no popcorn while watching films, you're doing it very wrong! The SkinnyPop popcorn is a healthy option for popcorn. There are a variety of flavors, go check their website! These are super good... I definitely recommend!

THESE ARE DELICIOUS (go check them out and their ingredients here)

WARBY PARKER EYEGLASSES | SPRING COLLECTION 2018 ♡

So, do you wear prescription glasses? Do you love wearing them? Is it something that is a fashion statement in your style?

I have been wearing glasses since High School and I just enjoy getting glasses every year because I like that you can make use of glasses as a fashion statement. A lot of people I know that don't need a prescription like to wear fake glasses as their fashion statement and I think that is pretty cool!

I am here to tell you that Warby Parker has a lot of great options that you can pick from; their prescription glasses start at $95, and has free shipping and free returns, which is great! They have a lot of shapes, colors, and collections. Here is a link to their new collection Spring 2018 launches today!

The new collection is simple and clean. I really like that some are unisex and have different color options in each different type of frames.

There are acetate, metal, cypress crystal and lychee crystal, navy and more colors.

Here are some of their frames for Spring 2018:
Bell

Hughes Large

Hyde

Millie

Rigby

Rigby in black

Hughes small

These are some of the options that I thought were very cute and fashionable. I have noticed that crystal clear glasses are becoming a thing in glasses as an accessory they're super cute; it goes with anything!

Warby Parker's promise again is their free shipping and free returns and you have a 30-day, no-questions-asked return policy for all the frames. They also have a one year, no scratch guarantee four their lenses. They will definitely replace your scratched glasses for free within the first 12 months.

What do you like most about your prescription glasses?

Happy merry Christmas Eve everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful time with family and friends if you get together on the 24th!

Today I just want to share how grateful I am with everything, school, my job, my family and of course my dog! I just miss my family and I am in the train right now typing this up waiting to get home. Currently I am in Bakersfield waiting to leave. It has been a looong day for me.

Today I woke up at 5 AM to get to work at 7 AM and got off at 10 AM technically I was supposed to get off at 11:30, but my manager let me clock out  early since she knew that my train left at 12 noon. After work I got to the dorms and then got a Lyft to go to the train station.

Here is a picture of me and Santa, Rudolph, elf, and snowman. Lol my manager made me get a picture with them!

And she kindly got me a treat for my train ride, she is so nice.

This train ride is 10 hours and I need some fuel, so right now I’m going to go to the cafe bar and grab me some foodies.

Here is my snack

I will see you guys tomorrow! Christmas Day has finally came!! Yaayyy!! When I get home I’m going to have to wrap the presents. Omg I am so excited!!!

DIY CHRISTMAS CARDS | BLOGMAS DAY 20

Hey everyone, today has been a crazy day for me. I went to work in the morning, came home took a nap, and then I went Christmas shopping, which I still have not finished! Also I got my grades back from school and I passed all my classes!!! Wooo!!!

Anyways, today I will be talking to you about an app I use for cards and they’re free, but now I noticed some you have to pay for, but either way the free ones are super cute and you can edit them! The app is called Canva. You can add stickers, borders, text, frames, and more. You can also use your own photos. There are many different types of cards that you can use these for, social media, header YouTube art, engagement cards, Christmas cards and more!

I love using these card for my blog headers. They’re very useful and I really enjoy this app because there is a ton of them and you can edit them any way you want!

These are some of the options for the cards.
If you enjoy doing cars these are perfect for Christmas if you want to go for the cheaper option instead of buying them and you can just purchase them yourself and create it the way you want them!

These are some of the Christmas cards, there is way more, I promise you will have fun going through these Christmas cards and making them your own! Have fun!

Love,

Tania

P.s. still haven’t bought enough a charger for my laptop. It sucks.

SHOPPING HAUL | BLOGMAS DAY 17

Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s 8 days until Christmas!!! Who is excited?!
So today I will be showing you some pieces I have recently purchased and I cannot wait to wear these pieces! I already used some pieces for work!

Since my sister left me for winter break and I had to stay for work I decided to do some shopping. Technically I was supposed to Christmas shop, but that didn’t happen. So I found some items I really liked and decided to purchase them for me. Though some pieces are from a few weeks ago that I had gotten for work.

That’s all my items! Almost all these pieces are from forever21, hm, and banana republic!

P.s. my charger from my laptop broke, so I am publishing my post from an app and it is so confusing! (I am crying inside).

Happy holidays!

Love,

Tania Garcia

RECAP OF CHRISTMAS 2016 | BLOGMAS DAY 6 ♡

DAY 6! yay! how is everyone doing today? I hope your day is going great! I have a had a pretty stressful week with finals and just making projects is pretty stressful, but I'm getting there!

Christmas last year was super fun and I really loved it! I enjoy going to Mexico with my family and celebrate with my relatives that I don't get to see as much. We have not gone for Christmas since Christmas 2008, we just travel during the Summer, but this time we decided to go to Mexico last year, which was really great!

Anyways here are some images of us celebrating together!

These are the memories I love to cherish the most and I enjoyed every minute being with my family. It is so much fun and I love playing games, like Loteria and other games, as well as, hitting the piñata. Can't wait for Christmas 2017!

Happy Blogmassing! See you tomorrow!

LOVE

Tania
