A REFLECTION ON THE YEAR | BLOGMAS DAY 9 ♡

Maybe this year was shiny, bright, and probably amazing! Or you probably just want to forget about this year and go into the new year and start fresh. For me there is a some things that happened this year, good and bad, but we got through this year! I feel like we barely celebrated Christmas 2016, what is going on? This year just flew by.

So, let me start by saying that living in San Diego has been the greatest! So many great places to visit in San Diego, so many things my sister and I have done, I just love it! School has been great just this Fall quarter has been pretty hectic, but were getting there, two more quarters and we're DONE!

Another thing I enjoyed this year is that I went to Disneyland with my sister for a school event! It was so much fun and it was pretty different with not going with family and friends, but we did enjoy it! It was a pretty slow day, so we were able to get on all the rides! Who doesn't love going to Disneyland? I do!

I also got to meet my favorite singer, Gerardo Ortiz at a summer concert! It was so much screaming, fun, and sweat because it was super duper hot, but we got through it. It was definitely worth it!

The most amazing day was my Twin and I's birthday weekend. My parents and sister came to visit us at school by surprising us during our summer quarter in school, which was super duper fun because we got a donkey piñata (lol), polaroid, and we did touristy things around San Diego and Tijuana!

This year I also got to volunteer at a fashion show, which was Fashion Week San Diego. It was pretty fun working backstage and helping the models change into their beautiful designers' clothing. I really appreciated the hard work that goes through everything with the production, sound, lighting, and especially the designers. Everything was beautiful.

Another fun thing was Saira's wedding! We celebrated her bachelorette down here in san Diego, which was super fun, which my cousins from Mexico came down to celebrate and visit San Diego. These are some fun pictures

Lastly, I got my first job last month for the holidays and I am super happy to be working at Banana Republic, it is such a great company and it's quite fun learning how retail stores work, as well as working with my coworkers. I always wanted to get the experience in retail and I am now! Plus I love the great discounts!

My First Year at UCSD | College Life

Hi, guys, I am here to talk to you about that I moved to San Diego almost a year ago (which will be in September), I still cannot believe how this first year as a transfer went by SUPER fast! Like where did the year go and where is it going? 

Though moving to San Diego was pretty crazy, but thanks UCSD for the best first year! Thank god I did not get homesick throughout the whole year. Lol 😂 but really this year has been awesome and I have learned so much by facing many challenges, which this has made me realize how proud I am on what I have accomplished (even though changing from semesters to quarters is pretty stressful, but I got through these last 3 quarters!) One more year to go and I'm finally done with big girl college! As of right now, I am taking summer courses because if I don't take these two courses, I will not graduate on time. IT. SUCKS. But it will be worth it!

UPDATE: COLLEGE LIFE | 💕

Hi, everyone! I have not been here for a while because....school! My last update was in November of me talking about my move to San Diego for Uni. In that post, I said I was excited to be back on the blog...I never did. SO SAD. What can I say? School was just in the way because I was confused on how a quarter system works with all the workload (which it was not that bad just fun projects) coming from a semester system. Now I am in my second quarter of the year, which it is almost over...WOW! I cannot believe it! The other day I registered for my third (Spring) quarter courses, which I am very excited about! Anyways, I am here to show you some film projects I have worked on for my Media Sketchbook class. I am new at this so they are not that great, but I am having fun creating these! I will for sure be starting back on my blog this time! I want to do more fashion blogs because I don't really post fashiony stuff on here and I do really like fashion. Also, some beauty related stuff!

LIFE UPDATE 2016 | UNIVERSITY

Hello, everyone! I have not updated my blog for the longest time, since November of last year telling you about my Halloween costume. I can't believe it's over a year that I stopped updating my page. So, I am here to tell you what has been going on in my life. 

1. I graduated Community College on April 29, 2016. #Classof2016

2. Before I graduated I was accepted to UC Davis, waitlisted for CSU Long Beach and UC San Diego. 

3. My sister was accepted into UCSD and I was sad because I didn't want to go to Davis, though it was probably one of the choices I had to go with, since I did not know if I was even going to get accepted to Long Beach as well. I wanted to be far from home and have a different experience since Davis feels the same from where I am from.

4. I went to three concerts of my favorite singers: Pepe Aguilar, Camila, and Juan Gabriel. 

5. Before I graduated, my older sister was working in Berkeley, CA and we went to visit her a few times and visited UC Berkely, which is a very pretty campus.

6. My family and I took a road trip to San Diego to visit the UCSD campus, which was pretty awesome! (I still didn't know if I was going to be accepted). 

7. I went to Universal Studios Hollywood and I was very excited for The wizarding world of Harry Potter! I also went to Venice and Santa Monica beach for the first time it was so pretty! 

8. I quit my job since I was going to move to Uni! 

9. I went to Disneyland for my birthday for five days! Who does that?! ME and my TWIN sister! We invited are best friends and enjoyed their company, since they are super funny. We took a long trip on the Amtrack, which was super duper fun! I enjoy the train.

10. I GOT ACCEPTED TO UC SAN DIEGO! 

Now, I am here in my dorm typing this, so I can remember what I did in 2016! Though the quarter system is very different from a semester system, but I am handling it pretty easy with midterms and projects, but now we are at week six already and we need four more weeks of class. YIKES!
